In Response To: Paddle: Ferrul's (Dave McKinney)
: I am buuilding my first paddle and instead of feathering the paddles I bought
: a stainless steel ferrul. How is it attached to the paddle handles? There
: were no holes for drilling and using a screw and the wood commercial
: paddles I looked at seemed to have the ferruls pressed on. How do I do
: this at home and how do I seal the wood in the ferrul. Any help would be
: greatly appreciated..

i did the same thing. cut the paddle in half install ferrals on shaft mark so you don't turn the faces open ferrals and pour epoxy inside. thats it.
