Okay, I've got all the forms secured to the boxbeam, masking tape applied, I ripped tons of redwood strips (and a few spruce.) I'm ready for the first strips.
My understanding is that the usual first strips are the two along the sides of the hull (bottom) where the hull will eventually be joined to the deck (top), right? Then you work your way to what will be the bottom of the boat (it's upside down at the moment), right?
On the strip surfaces where the hull will eventually meet the deck, do I use a bead, or a cove, or try to do a rolling bevel?
I'd love to hear pros and cons. I want to jump in and get stripping, but I want to make sure I do it right. I think it's time to make a sandwich, take a time out, and wait for advice. I'm going to go reread this section in Nick's book too.
Thanks everyone!
