On most boats, you will need square edge to square edge at the sheer line, so remove the bead or cove at the sheer. You can apply a rolling bevel to the hull strips now or wait until later and apply whatever is necessary on the deck side. Once the whole thing is done, you can adjust the bevels so that the hull meets deck cleanly.
