Anything smaller than 1/4" can feel like it's cutting your hand when you're wet, cold, tired, and possibly frantic. Okay, you won't be frantic, but a rescuee could be!!

I put my anchors 2' to 2.5' apart.

Nylon is too stretchy. Dacron or polyester sail rigging line is really expensive. I found kernmantle polypro at the farm & ranch store down here. 3/8" is extremely comfortable---I think I have 1/4" on the Guillemot and Cormorant.

What sort of anchors are you planning to use? I'm totally sold on the Maroske fittings, but they're easier installed before seaming hull and deck.

You can often use the same fitting for foredeck lines as well as perimeter lines. I'm thinking of trying hard foredeck lines with sliders when I rerig the Cormorant after varnishing it.

: I'm just starting to outfit the deck on a King and am looking for advice on
: the diameter of line for a perimeter line and the spacing of anchors for
: the same line.
: thanks in advance
