: Hi everyone, I am getting close to the skinning of my latest project and have

I can't remember whether it's Petersen's 'Instruction in Kayak Building', or Cunningham's "Building the Greenland Kayak" that recommends using a small wooden wedge to fasten the line tight and seal the hole at once.
Seems like a good solution--you could fill the hole with Silicone RTV or Aquaseal before driving the wedge in, too...
