Can't tell you experts much you haven't seen, but this method of clamping for stapleless is working well for me. Cheap and fast, rubber bands and binder clips. Maybe it can help someone who's just starting too. Haven't seen this exact method posted yet, but I could have easily missed it. I'm using small strips at 1/2 by .215, and they collapse somewhat easily under too much pressure.
