This kind of rack seemed to be one of the easiest to put together (less than 2 hours total). And I think I will stain it (so you still see the wood) but in color like red or blue, then a thick coat of clear coat to give it depth. So probably two or so more hours to make it look pretty.

It's already an obstacle in the livingroom to get through that door, but with one more boat on there, it'll really be in the way. But on the bright side, it's a straight shot out the front door. Very convienient.
