S&G: Cirrus mis-aligned deck plates...

Hey All,

I have few spots on the deck of the Cirrus I'm building where the deck plates do not line up perfectly. The exterior fillets are therefore deeper on one side of the joint. If I were to scrape them out completely fair I would have one plate scraped through and reveal the core beneath the luan veneer. Sigh. I'm sure others have run into this situation before.

Unless I want to agressively scrape out those areas (truthfully only two places about 4" in length) I'm in need of a strategy to fill them. I was considering doing to a fill coat of wood flour thickened epoxy ( a rather flowable mix not your peanut butter dookie schmutz mix) before glassing and would build up those spots then. Any suggestions???

Otherwise the Cirrus is shaping up well and I could be glassing by the end of next week. Though, I sure wish I had scraped the deck fillets while the epoxy was a tad green. This MAS stuff is hard!
