Hi Jim

Thanks for the compliments. The basswood is just a little heavier than the WRC, but not much. You're right, it shapes great - better than WRC. I happened to find a board that is almost white and very uniform in color. Its been fun to work with and see the colors blend.

As for the deck, I'm still sketching ideas. I have some pretty nice cedar, so I'm leaning toward some subtle curvy swoops that leave most of the deck exposed(at least that's the latest concept). I made a sketch of the outline of the King on screen and have printed out sheets with 10 outlines on each side and I keep sketching ideas. I'm sure I'll change my mind many times between now and when I actually have to commit to a deck design.
