I used cedar strips on the vertical section and Carbon fiber for the rim. I used carbon on the butt plates as well. I’ll use wood on the next one as that’s what my wife likes. It will be nice to see both methods.
I kept it simple as this was my first boat. Not sure how I will do the stripping on the next one but hope to incorporate some simple patterns or some different woods.
