In Response To: Strip: Form Alignment (Jon)

: I am building a strip built kayak. This is my first one. I am almost to the
: stage of aligning the forms on the strongback. Any tips for making sure
: the forms are aligned would be appreciated. THANKS!! Jonathan

I am about finished with my "Storm SLT" and I used the string through the hole method on aligning my stations. I only used two strings but three would be more accurate. Drill the holes for the string before putting the stations on the spine, it is much easier to do.

Recheck the alignment after the first couple of strips are attached. I had a couple stations move slightly even tho they were anchored pretty firmly.
