Strip: Twists. *LINK* *Pic*

I was using a heat gun quite a bit when I was finishing out front and rear of the hull on my little project. (I'm finally working the football) I got tired of waving the heat gun and wondering if the strips were hot enough. I was also tired of trying to avoid burning the edges of the wood. My alternative was to buy a couple of heat strips. They max out a 280 degree F so they are safe and wont burn the wood. I just use a scrap strip and clamp the heater in between then plug it in and walk away. When I remember I'm heating a strip I come back and remove the heater, add the twist and wait for it too cool. For a lazy man like me it was great to be able to let the strip safely heat on its own. Cheaper than a good heat gun too.

I bought mine from www.usplastic.com.

Anyone else using heat stips instead of a heat gun?
