Hey,
Even if I wanted to graft on the broken pieces I'd have to go back to the mountains and find them first. I was never able to recover all the pieces of the yak that broke off. I talked with Donnie at Boatcraft (home of Lightening 17) about the coaming. I wanted to modify the original to make a larger opening so that my wief can use it (sh'e handicapped). Donnie has a larger opening that fits on any of his kayaks. It is 3 inched longer and keyholed so I will simply be replacing the old bits and pieces with a new one.
