You are probably getting some oxidation of the epoxy. The whiteness itself is not a problem. Don't sand it off unless you plan to varnish the inside to protect it from further oxidation. If you don't protect it, sanding it off will only expose new epoxy to further oxidation and the desire to sand it again.
