Other: How many Canadians have actually got HINs?

I'm thinking I'll do it, just because it will help the police if my
kayak is ever stolen. I hear that legally you're supposed to, as well.
I'm not sure where the big butt-ugly sticker should go and stuff like that,
either.

Have any of you other Canucks actually done it? Seems like no one really cares
whether you do or not, but if your boat goes missing, the police can't help
without a HIN.

Any thoughts?
