Last time I was up, I picked up a couple of hitchhiking college kids from Minnesota. They'd spent a month in BC, and were about to the turnoff to Fernie when I picked them up.

I made them promise they weren't carrying any pot about a mile before Roosville. If they were, I told them I'd drop them off, and they could sneak across the border, but they were clean. They had passports, and got more questions than I had with just my US driver's license.

BTW, I'm the assistant project manager on the new high school project in Eureka, so I'll find an excuse to get up and across the border a couple more times this summer.
