I built one of the first Pax 20 kits that CLC made. I find it to be fast, surprisingly stable and you must remember to put it in the water pointed in the direction you want to go. A big rudder is mandatory if you plan on racing anything other than straight lines. The skeg that they recommend seems to be without any purpose or need except to stiffen up the flat rear deck. In anything other than flat water and minimal winds the kayak is not much fun.The kayak is bow heavy and turns on the bow. Overall, a good go fast in calm conditions kayak. This one lives in San Diego and you are welcome to try it out. Dave
