: I want to make my own CPES to fix some rot in my house. There was a good
: thread on this subject from around a year ago but couldn't find it using
: search. Can any one tell me what is the best solvent to use with Raka to
I've used 5% acetone, which really thins it. Xylene is supposed to thin it even more, but I'm waiting until next summer to try it when I can use it outside. (Not that acetone is great indoors..I only use it sparingly--besides, my wife already uses acetone-based products in nail polish remover and hairspray!)
Warming the epoxy and the wood to be sealed will also increase penetration greatly!!
If you can work it quickly, 10 seconds in the microwave for an ounce of epoxy will make it really runny!!
