I've taken to Kokotat pfds,,Extrasport seems to have gone Gucci in the "innovations", don't get velcro closed pocked, zippered is best with buckles second, you don't have to pay $150+ for adequate fit, if you are REALLY getting it for it's flotation then REALLY get in the water with it. From what I've seen a significant number of folks paddling in benign conditions have their pfds on so loose that they actually impede rescues but as their skills increase they never adjusted the fit for thrashing in the water. Pear shaped and big bellied people should search, search for a good fit as they are more prone to having a pfd ride up to their ears.
