Looks and sounds a lot like a stripper or a hybrid (with the plywood on the top)...

But, my neighbor's pa build himself one as well... Next time he comes down I'll snap a shot or two. The big difference is that he went to a local aluminum top manufacturer and had them make him a top without the skin (a frame complete with windows and such). He then stripped and glassed over that... It's got some interesting scroll work on the top ("for the truckers who drive by" he jokes) as well...
