If you have a boat that isn't glassed, and it looks like rain, don't bring it to a forum/rendezvous/matb.

Don't ask me how I know!

: It's time once again to let builders in the southern Calif. area know the
: date of the Spring Boat Builder's Forum at Southwind Kayak Center. The
: event will be held Saturday April 19th on the lawn in front of the store
: in Irvine Calif. "Bring your home-built kayak or canoe, in any stage
: of completion, and meet casually with other builders and their boats.
: Everyone shares the experiences, joys and pains of building their own.
: Just come to look and chat if you're contemplating building one. And
: perhaps join others to go paddling afterwords!" This is not a large
: event, it usually only goes for 3-4 hrs, but it seems that there must be
: quite a few builders of Strip, S&G, and SOF Kayaks and Canoes in the area
: that we should be able to get quite a good turnout for an event such as
: this. Hopefully Greg Bridges will bring out his new One Ocean Kayaks
: Double as well as his Guillemot Great Auk. I'm going to try and get my
: friend Arica to bring her Redfish Silver down for the event as well. With
: any kind of luck we will have the biggest turnout ever for one of the
: events. Hope to see you there.
