Oh yes, I also had a large fillet between the riser and deck, and a smaller fillet between the lip and riser.

I also did simillar suports as Don mentioned to strengthen the Deck. However I simply used two pieces of fiberglass on the under side of the deck, which overlapped in the cockpit area. makeing for a double layer from shear to shear infront and behinde the cockpit.

I also hvae two layers of glass on the outside of the recess portion of the deck. The top layer is the same layer that went up the side of the riser.

as for the Lip I think you will be fine, with epoxy coating only, provided you use Ash. Like I said, my experince is still limited.

If you want me to try somting specfic with my lip, let me know. I'll put it thorough the test. If it breaks, that is fine I still have the rest of winter to fix it.
