i guess if you was joe pro, you could run the blade only from a razor knife or box cutter(those 5"long snapoff blades) along the flat of the adjacent panel and cut the pattern in one go without having to mark it up. prob have to mark from the topside at the ends tho'.
or just cut the fabric off (you wanted to reskin anyway???) on the stringer c/l and use that for the patterns. mark it 1st.hehe
