: Is there a tutorial on embedded graphics anywhere? I would like to lay some
: graphics on the bottom of a varnished item and add some lettering to the
: edges. Any comments on techniques or some other place I should ask the
: question? The grahics will be something like a business card with my shop
: information and date.
Check out the site for Black Lightning toner products.
For many years they have been selling products for laser printers which are colorful and unique. I guess one way to describe them is to say that they are not willing to limit themselves by reloading laser printer cartridges with products recommended by the manufacturer.
Look at their dye sublimation toners. In this case the laser printer places fine particles of dye on the receiver paper, and when you reheat this, say with an iron, the dye vaporizes and the color transfers to another item. Print your information in mirror image on a piece of paper, place it where you want the image to finally reside (on a wood item, a tee shirt, a coffee mug, etc.) and heat the paper.
If you have a laser printer then your cost is for one (or more) toner cartridges. Since you can swap cartridges easily, one of theirs might last you for many years and thousands of images.
