That's exactly what I was thinking about except longer and put in the storage compartments. You have 4 strips, I was thinking of only 2 as lash points. One on each side. 4 would be better since it would keep movement down during a roll. And, like I said, a pulley on the deep end of the rail could be used to block and tackle gear into and out of the ends of the yak fast and without contortions.

For those who want internal hatch bungies, the "rails" would be a good place to hook onto as well.

Geez, I don't even have a boat yet, so what the heck do I know about this stuff.
