Ann, I'm with Gordon regarding attempts to get the shop space to a more comfortable temp. IF you can do it in ways that don't increase fire risk or health risk if your respirator or skin/eyes aren't up to the more concentrated vapors in a sheeted off space. The problem with having one end a wide variation in temps on the wood is that outgassing might, might occur where the wood is cold in one place and warm in another. but I don't know strip so pre-sealing might eliminate this. Robs advice is always worth following.
