My reside in a workplace of technology, noise, and lots of rushing around.
The boat shop, for me, is a refuge from all of this. I really enjoy hand fitting strips with my plane and a sanding block, my two favorite tools.
Moving over rough surface of a freshly stripped boat with a plane or spokeshave is a peacefull journey .
Boat building is, for me, therapy. Noise and confusion create the need for that therapy. I'm glad to have the opportunity, and a group like ours,to share it with.
