: I did pretty much exactly what Spidey did on his web page. See:
: It also sounds like the exact procedure described by the venerable Mister
: Hanson in his post as well. That guy has excellent taste, by the way. I'd
: listen to him.
: I thought about them too, and even went so far as to make a few to play with
: and ponder. But I decided the Joe Greenley approach is far more slick and
: elegant, with apologies to Kent. It's easier to make up, weighs less, and
: costs nothing (made from scrap, no $40 router bit required, no jig to
: make, etc). Those recessed fittings are certainly impressive to look at,
: that's for sure.
: My fittings are currently held in place only by the tension of the shock
: cord. After varnish, they shall be sealed with RTV silicone, per Spidey,
: David, et al.
: Cheers,
: Kurt Maurer
Yep it was Joe Greenly & Spidey that gave me the info, thanks Kurt for pointing that out, due to my age I plead bad memory, but I have learned more things on this board than I can count.
Working on a Jay Babina type fiberglass seat currently for my wife's boat, a Storm SLT by Vaclav. Also magnets curing in the hatches this a Rob Macks idea, the Nick Schade footrest is mostly done, the list just keeps going on and on!!!
