I don't remember exactly, but I think I used 6 layers of 6oz glass to
build my coaming, and another layer to bond it to the hull.
Seems plenty strong to me. 42 oz total.

I haven't noticed any effects from heat, but I didn't tint it black.
I'm looking for a good way to color it a bit more, now that it's
complete. I should probably have tinted the epoxy as I built it, but I didn't.
I'll probably just paint it, and epoxy and varnish over that.
