: weighted the paper cutout with whatever I could find to keep the paper
: pattern in place as I traced it onto the wood.

Thanks for posting mor pics. Great to see your progress and success. Certainly your project demonstrates the benefit of wood. Who would attempt a similar reconstruction of a glass boat?
