...as it turned out my accident generated enough concern that the ranger was able to prevent a determined young family from paddling the same stretch of river that I fell into. The young family was going to paddle the river despite the ranger's warnings not to until the ranger let them in on my story. The ranger credits my story for saving the young family, both children were under 8 yrs of age and dad wanted to run the river in an open canoe with higher water levels than what I ran.

I'm working on the bulkhead repair tonight and should have the patch tied in by tomorrow. So far so good.
