My footrest is the design by Nick Schade. The wings & frame is 5mm laun, the box for the slide is poplar. The hook base is juniper and the T top (slide) is poplar. 4oz glass on wings and box plus sides of hooks (the juniper is very weak).

The white in the floor is spruce. Kevlar band in deck above. The black in the wings, I was cutting some CF and some strands got in the tacky glass layup. I couldn't get it out so added some more, liked it so much did the seatback also.
