I stayed in the Forest campground a several years ago. It is on top of the hill and not within walking distance of the beachside campground. Since you have to drive back and forth to the event, it's hardly any more convenient than staying in a motel, and a lot less comfortable. It is in the forest, with each campsite much more private than the RV oriented beachside campground. It's a lot more protected from the wind and more suitable for tents. But it's too far away from the event for my tastes. The attraction of the event is being able to visit with everyone, even during the off hours. So being in the other campground removes your from the group. Hope this helps.
