All Due Respect to you, but I don't think this is an accurate statement. I and many people have used other weights of cloth from RAKA and had absolutely NO problems. I use their 3.25oz tight ( satin ) weave with great results.
Your statement sounds all-inclusive and the 5oz. cloth is the ONLY cloth I've ever seen given bad reports. However, before Larry started selling this "special" 5oz. cloth I did hear of other suppliers that had some problems, which it turned out were due to properties of the cloth that made it more Polyester friendly. That may, as you say, be what is the problem with this 5oz. cloth, but I don't think you should condemn RAKA's entire line of cloth because of problems with one particular weight.

That may not have been your intent, and if not, I appologise, but that is the impression I have gotten.

I may be out in left field here, but it just sounded sorta all-inclusive and that has not been shown to be true. I think RAKA just stumbled into some 5oz cloth that doesn't work especially well with epoxy products.
I've had no problem with his 6oz, 4oz., 3.25oz satin ( tight ) weave or the 1.5oz cloth that I use for smaller projects. The 3.25oz is a bit slower to wet out, but I knew that going in and it still works just fine with their thinner epoxies, especially the slower hardeners ( for us non-professionals ).
