Hi Bill, I thought these Boat policies were mostly written for big hulls. I'm not an insurance guru but make sure you get an appraisal, receipt or some other proof that the boat is worth $3000. You convinced me but the insurance company may be different. Insuring it for $3k may not guarantee that's what they will give you if it's stolen or totalled.

You probably already did this but I would go in and talk to your agent. He/she should be all smiles and handshakes. If they aren't then go shopping for another agent.
