Hi Rick,
I'm sure that you already know this, but I figure it wouldn't hurt to remind you:
Remember to squeegee after the epoxy begins to kick. Apply decent pressure to remove unnecessary epoxy and push the glass into the wood. Raka epoxy is very thin, combined with the fact that you will more than likely be painting the epoxy onto the glass like you're painting a house (very thick), and you will probably get some runs. Be sure to get rid of these runs before it hardens completely. Use the plastic spreader until it looks good, even late into the night, then the next morning/afternoon try a scraper to remove rough edges or runs and a razor blade to trim off the excess glass. Of course much of this could be avoided by using just enough epoxy to wet the cloth. Like anything else, it takes practice to know how much is just enough. I've read that most people don't learn this until their second boat. So, what I'm trying to say is relax and enjoy the process. Go easy on the epoxy, but not too light. It's going to turn out great. It's not difficult, actually it's quite fun. Try to apply the second coat the following day, if possible. Give that a few days or more to harden then sand that smooth. A random orbit sander is perfect for this. The third coat, then, will go on very smooth (and could easily be your final coat). Wow, I'm rambling. Not the first time. Must be the coffee. I'm also no expert on this subject, just sharing some experiences. If I'm misleading Rick in any way, please help out (for Rick's sake) and correct me. I believe this is all common knowledge, and I just wanted to type it on the screen again. Hopefully it helped.
