Hello Gordon,

A pivoting version is shown on page 158 of Nick's book (The Strip-Built Sea Kayak). It has all the details so you can make it yourself if you want to save some money. If you bought the kit then you should be able to make the pivot arm and use the rest of the parts from the kit. I really like this footbrace, as it gives you plenty of footrest, it is angled in the direction your feet angle, and it's very simply adjusted.
