I agree with Eric's comment regarding the color. Most inks that are used in ink jet printers or even laser printer are not designed to be light fast. I would guess that you might get some protection from the UV qualities of the varnish, but in the long run, the yellows and reds are going to fade away. However, if you are using a black design, then you should be good to go. There is no issue that I've heard about regarding Black fading away.: A question for those of you who have glassed in grapics on your kayak with an
