I believe the kayak is a Merganser by Shearwater boats. See photo below, courtesy of their website, and link below takes you to their page. Builder? Someone with good taste, but I don't know who.

Eric's designs are great, and I have chosen the Atlantic, and plan to build the merganser next. It can be built stitch-n-glue, hybrid, or strip. I'm thinking hybrid, as I want my next boat to have a hard chine, but like a stripped deck.
