Originally I was planning on using only fiberglass, but when the guy I bought it from offered me Kevlar at a cheaper price (!?!?) how could I refuse? I know it sounds crazy but I swear it happened. He wouldn't tell me where he got it, only that he "got a deal". So anyway, thats my only logic for using kevlar. You could very well be right on not using the glass mat, but since I've never done this before I wouldn't know. Would it be better to build the whole boat with just 4 layers of kevlar? I say 4 because that's how much I bought. I think i can get more if i need it though. What if I used 3 layers for the deck and 4 for the hull? Thanks for the input.
