: I am about 6' 1", 205 lbs on a good day and 220 lbs on the first day of
: spring. The boat will probably be used by myself and my kids, currently
: ranging from almost 9 years and about 55" tall, my daughter who is 16
: and almost 5' 10", and my son who is 14 and will rocket past 6'
: sometime soon. My wife wants my Arctic Tern, so I will build myself a more
: traditional Greenland boat (maybe 17' x 22") for myself ASAP.
: The boat is 128.25"/206cm length overall.
: Maximum width at gunwale centerline is 24.375"/62cm.
: Bottom of masik to top of keelson is 10.375"/26.5cm
: Bottom of whatever-you-call-the-deckbeam-you-rest-against to top of keelson
: is 7.25"/18.5cm.
: A rather large little boat, perhaps I'll name it The Pregnant Guppy! It
: looked much smaller when I started...
That is a pretty big "little boat" but given the size and growth of your kids, it should serve them well for quite a few years yet!
I think you'll find the Greeland boat perhaps a little bit easier. I think the shape of the Greenland is a little more straightfoward than the recovery. Shouldn't be a probably to do it ASAP, especially if your wife wants your boat!
