I'm no chemist, but it sounds like it's the same chemical.

The article you linked to seemed to indicate that the only problems are possible links to birth defects, and even those are unproven. I don't mean to sound flippant, but unless you are a pregnant woman, or you are around pregnant women, the dangers appear to be pretty small. When my wife was pregnant, I stopped work on my kayak. The idea of epoxy fumes or epoxy dust in the air were enough to get me to stop building. Pregnant women get a long list of do's and don't from their doctors. Working with epoxy isn't on any of those lists, but it is pretty obvious that a pregnant woman probably shouldn't be working with anything that requires wearing rubber gloves and a respirator.

The questions the article raises about beverage containers concern me much more than the kayak building ramifications. I guess that means that now pregnant women should only drink out of cans, glass bottles, or milk cartons. Babies too.
