Is this a class project, or one of your own?
In Response To: Skin-on-Frame: Elastomeric Paint on skin (Greg Hughes)
: I am considering using elastomeric roof coating to waterproof/finish the
: canvas skin on the sof we are building. Does anyone have any experience
: with this product on canvas? Any reason why it would not be a good choice?
: Thanks.
If you are doing this as a class project, why not cut out some squares of canvas and try treating them with different coatings. Leave them out in the sun, wind and rain for a year or two and watch how they age. Make it an ongoing experiment for three years. It doesn't take up much space, and it would be informative.
Just a thought
