I wouldn't send it out, but I'd at least give it a go myself.
If the delayed start wasn't accompanied by groaning or smoking, I'd check out the switch first. Shoot it with some air, then some contact cleaner. [I like Radio Shack's D5- part #91-3879] If that doesn't work, pull the switch out, clip the leads together & see if it is the switch. You can probably get a new one for less than $5 at

[while you're ordering- get the brushes for a few dollars more]

[who would probably first show SWMBO the dead Router; show her how sad I was and see if she thinks I should just get a new one. Then I'd work on this one, amaze myself that it works, and enjoy having two routers for those jobs where it seems I'm continually switching from one bit to another.]
