Thinking out of the box... I like it. I thought about a kite, but not a balloon. Hey... added floatation. Just don't put too much or I'll end up like that guy in the lawnchair that flew to 10,000 feet or something like that.

I'm thinking about one of those things that spins around in the wind. The one I'm thinking of was a tall slender thing with cloth vanes that went vertically and spiraled around as they went up. In theory this would generate less drag than a flag that would tend to pull you with the wind. The "windmill" would move with the wind and give more visual area for less drag. (It's hard to put into words, maybe you can figure out what I mean.)

Most likely I will come up with a million really neat ideas and then settle for the flag-on-a-pole. It's just too fun to try to think up new ways to do things.
