Hi all,

I have just about finished fairing the hull on my little project. It's my first strip built so I'm learning as I go along. I have planed and sanded the front of the boat and finished up with a leading edge that is sharp enough to cut you. It looks really cool that way but I know that it needs some radius sanded in. My question is what is the best minimum radius I should apply here. I know that the glass needs a certain radius or it will not lay on the edge and I realize that the sharper it is the more susceptible it will be to damage. The S&G I built has about a 3/16 radius (about the same as a ballpoint pen) and that works great but that was built into the design. Do I need to go that large on the stripper? Or can I leave it sharp enough to cut through the plastic boats that I run into on the water? I appreciate the input.
