I have visited both the CLC and Pygmy shops and can tell you that both companies have excellent products and very knowledgeable and friendly staff. I do not think you would be disappointed with either. You might also want to consider looking at Waters Dancing kayak kits from Boatcraft in Edmonton Alberta. They have a very complete kit at a very reasonable price and some innovative approaches to the building process. They have also been selling kits since the 50’s. Just for the record, I am not in any way affiliated with any of these companies. I am a first time builder who is just completing a Pygmy Arctic Tern and has just ordered a Waters Dancing Solace 16.
