: My guess is that the squeegee created foam as you spread the resin over the
: cloth.

BINGO!!! You guessed it. The resin hardened very well overnight and I was able to sand it and I'm looking out the window now at the just-'glassed hull. This time I knew what NOT to do. I was really worried because of the climate I live in and because of threat of rain, and I guess I went too fast. Actually I started out with a foam roller, and I think that combined with going too fast, and possibly moisture, all created disaster. I did a test strip today just to be sure it wasn't a chemical problem or something contaminating the cloth.

I'm still thinking it was a blessing. When wetting out the first time I found some small gaps that I wished I had used one more filler coat on. I got that filler coat!

For those who run into problems, take my advice: If in doubt, start over as soon as you can. If I had waited five more minutes the glass would not have come off. I worked from Bow to center, and then stern to center pulling the cloth off. I'm no weakling, and it was very hard work. I could not find my thinner. At the very last it took all my might to get the 'glass off. Now I'm so glad I didn't "wait and see what happens." I would be crying right now if I did. Now all I have to do is buy another 20 feet of cloth, which isn't too bad compared to having to paint the hull that I worked so hard to build staple-free and with expensive fine-grain cedar strips. All I could think was "I could have just used scrap wood if I knew I was going to screw it up." Thank goodness I acted as fast as I did.

Thank you for the advice.
