Thanks everyone for the ideas. I tried one heavy fill coat and board sanded but it would take too much off to get it fair. I just put on a fairing putty mix of epoxy/micro ballons to fair the surface. After I get the surface I want, I'll apply another layer of carbon/kevlar and one more layer of glass.
