Yes, and their Mom! Mean ol' Dad bugged Mom too much when he first fell in love with kayaking, and now she refuses to set foot in one. So, I'm building a canoe, which she's agreed she would like to paddle.

We have some great flatwater rivers around here, so I'm thinking some easy overnights will be a blast!

As I'm sure you've determined yourself, "real sea kayaking" isn't necessarily conducive to taking kids along...and better for experienced adults. But there's something magical about water for kids, so I want to introduce them to our water resources as quickly as possible.

I'm going to do some big color block panels with maybe an Aztec design feature at the midpoint of the canoe. Canoes are almost more conducive to feature strips than are kayaks!
